THE HOLY SPIRIT - OUR BEST AND GREATEST FRIEND.} ENSURE YOU REMAIN IN GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD Noble Child of God, Jesus said to the Chief Priests and Pharisees, "What is your opinion? A man had two sons. He went and said to the first, "My boy, go and work in the vineyard today." He answered, "I will not go," but afterwards thought better of it and went. The man then went and said the same thing to the second who answered, "Certainly, sir," but did not go. Which of the two did the father's will?' They said, 'The first."(Mt.21:28-31(21:28-32). The Father in the parable of Jesus stands for our God who loves and remains with us always. He prompts and directs us on his will and the right path of life to follow but respects our FREE WILL. He does not force anyone to obey Him but gives us the grace always to do so. The first Son said to his father, no, "I will not go to the farm". That would have been disobedience, if he did not change his mind. Later, he thought of it. He cooperated with the grace of God and obeyed his father. He did not sin because he did his father's will. Anyone who refuses to do the will of God, disobeys or sins. That reminds us that even in our ignorance, temptations and trials, God's Grace is always sufficient for us not to sin. If we do sin, no matter the degree, our God remains with us and patiently keeps offering us the grace to repent and start living like his true child again. Let us remain steadfast in the "YES" we have said to God and keep upholding his commandments. If we make any mistake as we are bound to do as human beings, let us renew our relationship with Him quickly by acknowledging our sins and asking for forgiveness in our prayers and through the sacrament of reconciliation. Let our good lives continue to speak more than our words that we are Christians and children of God. Let us not live promise and fail lives like the second son in the parable of Jesus. It is true that change is constant but let us keep striving to move from negative attitudes, habits and lives to positive ones. EVER LIVING AND LOVING FATHER, WE ARE VERY SORRY FOR THE TIMES WE FAILED TO MATCH OUR GOOD WORDS OR PROMISES WITH OUR DEEDS OR LIVE UP TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS. WE PRAY THAT YOUR GRACE MAY CONTINUE TO BE SUFFICIENT FOR US TO KEEP STRIVING TO REMAIN STEADFAST IN OUR DAILY EFFORTS TO UPHOLD YOUR COMMANDMENTS. WHEN WE FALTER, MAY WE NOT HESITATE TO SEEK YOUR FORGIVENESS AND RECONCILIATION, THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD,AMEN! 🙏 Our monthly Thanksgiving Program will be on WEDNESDAY 7TH OCTOBER, 2026. AT ST.
